Micromanaging low pay

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

Paid health insurance Okay benefits

Cons

The micromanaging has become worse over the years. Always busy. Calls come in every 7 seconds your barely left with any room to breathe let alone drink water in between calls. Favoritism is big in the department and you won’t get promoted unless you suck up to your supervisor. There’s no room to grow. They make it impossible to apply to other departments. They hold you to a high standard and the pay doesn’t compensate it. You’ll feel burnt out and they won’t care. There is a lot of working in the gray area if you say no to a member it’s pointless because management will just say yes even if you’re following guidelines. They don’t offer pay increases until it’s the annual increase of 50 cents or less or you get promoted which is nearly impossible. Pay is low for the high standards they expect out of team members. Sick pay policy is a joke. They only give you 24hrs for the year and anything outside of that you accrue points which lead to a write up. management could be better if they didn’t micromanage everything. You could barely take a bathroom break without them questioning why your off the phones for so long.

Beware of Executive powertrips

Pros

Healthcare benefits and competitive PTO Pay is average to low compared to other OC-based companies

Cons

Executive leadership overbuilt and overspent on a new HQ building so even with high productivity and efficacy after almost 2 years working from home they want people in the building filling seats on a 3-day minimum basis. Managers treat employees like children and police time in cubes versus actual metrics that prove employee satisfaction or job performance. In addition to wasteful spending on frivolous company branded gifts to employees, they also spend tens of thousands of dollars flying managers to and from NorCal, putting them in hotels, and paying for meals out all for meetings that can be conducted virtually

Easily the best job I've ever had

Pros

They don't push overtime. WFH options. They pay well. They are diverse/inclusive. Management works for you not against you. Benefits are top notch.

Cons

Depending on location and team PTO can be hard to obtain. They feed you all the time (you might gain some lbs.)
