Pros

Work life balance is the only positive

Cons

Compensation is absolutely the lowest, the pay raises aren’t great either. It gets worse as you stay longer with the company. You can find other places which pay higher and have a moderate work life balance.

Pros

Good benefits. Offices are nice places to work and focus. Team members care about the customers. There are lots of projects and variety.

Cons

Travel is frequent for those in Engineering Services. Not as much training as there used to be. Has been pretty sink or swim. Work from office is required. Working on the Engineeeing Services side versus the manufacturing side of the company is like working for an average consulting firm.

Not what it once was

Pros

Work that matters in the most important industry in the world, power. Good colleagues. Good education benefit. Good Health benefits. Okay retirement benefits. Work-life balance is great for non-assemblers. If you're even halfway competent you will not work overtime most weeks. Located in a low crime area with great weather. Small town living and lots of nature.

Cons

Pay is not competitive with the market and the company won't give pay rises to anyone but hourly employees. Can't afford to buy a house on the compensation. Upper management and leadership are lacking in most business acumen. The ship is being steered off a cliff and most employees that are still here see it but have little to no influence to steer it. R&D hasn't had a strategic plan in since COVID. No one knows what is going on in the lower levels. The company was family founded but most of the "family" has left the company recently and other long-term employees have left. It feels like the rats are leaving a sinking ship.
