Pros

Definitely more cons to pros. Pros would include great co workers, decent pay compared to other industries, solid PTO/benefits, and opportunity to work for big company with a ton of resources.

Cons

No career advancement. Lot of favoritism from upper management towards undeserving individuals. The hard workers are not appreciated and recognition is based on who the person is and not necessarily the individual work output/expertise. Balances between workload and responsibilities is not even; many are overworked whereas others have much more time on their hands. Cost cutting initiatives prevent recognition for valuable hardworking employees especially when output and responsibilities are not reciprocated by title and/or pay.

Pros

Great area, great facilities (Cafeteria, Gym/workout area, LEED office building , Majority of the employees are great. Good Parking area,

Cons

Upper management are terrible, no clear direction. Still in the mentality of Brand versus Brand (Bally vs. WMS vs Scientific games) very silo mentality and the vibe is that they want to keep it that way. Benefit package is getting worse every year and the price has gone up every year. EEOC should look into this place because the diversity at this place is a farce. (first hand experience, I'm looking into this myself)

At Scientific Games, every voice matters. We completed our first employee engagement survey in June and nearly 75% employees took the time to participate in the review. While we are still analyzing the data and the more than 22,000 comments, our business leaders will share business specific results with their teams over the next few weeks. Together, they’ll determine the actions we will take as a combined team to make Scientific Games a great place to work, every day for all our employees!

Pros

Working in a "cool" industry and a great facility in Chicago. Having access to a ton of the latest technology.

Cons

Upper management can't fix fundamental problems, culture is terrible, none of the employees seem happy, Chicago team feels isolated and marginalized.
