Pros

- The culture propagated by the employees is the best thing about this job. The people are why people stay.

Cons

- Many essential employees are leaving the company for the multitude of better opportunities, and the company isn't backfilling them or reorganizing resources. - Little to no career progression for employees. - The corporate structure lacks swift disciplinary action, allowing employees to coast on not showing up to work for days at a time. - The culture of late has been on a sharp decline, as certian products continue to be unsupported, causing people to leave and become disinevested.

Pros

People say sgi used to have lots of pros in Iowa but I don't see any. Unless your part of the group of manager's friends. I guess pay is ok by Iowa standards If you break multimillion dollar records your reward is $2 worth of pizza. Thats a real thing.

Cons

A bunch of middle or low ranking managers all back stabbing each other for position and screwing over the workers to make themselves look better. The boss here who calls himself a ceo is so full of himself that its hard to listen to him at the office meetings Managers in Iowa take no responsibility but know how to play the game. Company success is not their first priority and neither is employee retention. Managers are in this for themselves and don't care who they step on for their own sakes. If you don't get excited about everything they say you are told you are not part of the culture and told you are the problem. They keep saying their culture is so great and some people say that it used to be but now it seems pretty toxic. I guess a long time ago culture was about good people enjoying working together but now it just means being positive about whatever dumb things managers are pushing. Never seen so many unhappy people who were so afraid of looking unhappy. Now a couple of the new reviews are left from managers on here talking about how good they are to make up for all of the bad reviews. Thats low. They both claim there is transparency in management but there is literally none. Everything is done behind the scenes and there is no communication so nobody knows what is going on, like ever.

Pros

Coworkers loyal to each other despite corporate leadership.

Cons

Company keeps cutting benefits and perks. Employees are treated like they work at a manufacturing plant, not a software development shop. Morale, productivity and creativity are all tanking and the bean counters keep cutting.
