Pros
I can work the days I am available. Can reach staff via phone or email. Pay pretty similar at different schools, sometimes added bonuses. I asked to be only sent to schools where parking is available and so far had no problem finding it. They provide you with state mandated online training (Mandated Reporter and recognizing abuse) and even pay for your time taking it.
Cons
I mostly get to work with Elementary Special Ed - I love helping them, but would also be interested to gain experience with other ages and needs. Sometimes there is no request the night before, but last minute requests in the morning. This is not the company fault - teachers get sick suddenly. But it is hard to schedule the day and my own kids' drop-offs. Once I arrived to school and they said they placed a request by mistake. Scoot paid me for 2 hours to compensate. Another time the school booked me 8-3, but they only needed 8-1. It seems like all those issues are on the schools' side. Scoot people are always great.
