On the Operations side not so much. Operations leadership tends to behave disrespectfully and in some cases even become blatantly rude when you do not tell them what they want to hear or are not able to comply with their demands. (Yes, you are not asked, it is demanded from you to do something.) Pay is the lowest compared to other San Diego area hospitals. They tout their 'Great Place to Work" but seem to hide the statistics from the IS side because those scores are extremely low. It is not uncommon to be up all night for several nights during the week and still be expected to work your regular shift the next day.

Scripps Health, as an institution is undergoing many changes, some are deleterious to staff. The "workforce" is being thinned and the workload is being increased at all levels in order to save money for the institution. The level of unhappiness is slowly rising throughout and there is a subtle sense of disappointment in administration for doing this. Ultimately it is affecting patient care as the staff is slowly being overworked.
