Pros

This company will be successful, if you can last a year, you will get some equity, which will be worth something, someday... People who likes politics will most likely do well here. Security is a hot area to be in. Some great talents are still in the company, however, slowly being replaced (read Cons).

Cons

Most of the reviews here seemed to be pre-polished. Far too many people who left were not happy with the company management and employees treatment. I have decided to post my review after I saw "Worst Management ever". It feels that this review was a bit more angry then it should have being, however, most of the things mentioned is unfortunately true. Most of us who join Securityscorecard, were optimistic to start and do well. Most did just that. However at some point, you just can't help but to see good people being laid off - Quietly. At some point you start to pickup specific pattern. People are being overworked, burned out, and then replaced. Nothing personal, just business. Most (not all) of the positions for upper management are hires, not promoted from within. The concepts of good company is there, but it is mostly acted upon, until it is not in the interest for upper management. Hippocratic environment! CEO is definitely impressive, but does treat people as belongings and threatens us all constantly. Many more to say... but I think you got the gist!

Hi- my name is Trent Blanchard and I am the new VP of People & Culture here at SSC. I REALLY appreciate your honest, fact driven feedback; when accepting the VP role at SSC, I had done my research and learned of the issues you mentioned and know the work I have in front of me. I take this work very seriously- both professionally and personally. I am super impressed the company chose to hire me, knowing my deep expertise with building strong and health company cultures, my no-nonsense approach and my background in Psychology. They know they need to change and are open to it- otherwise I wouldn't be here. Things are shifting: I so wish you could see the changes.

Far from perfect, but at least we're aware of our shortcomings

Pros

First off, SecurityScorecard isn't perfect. No company is, and if you expect that, you're in lala land. But of the companies I've worked for, and I've bounced around quite a bit, SSC has the best balance of a startup culture along with a strong focus on maintaining a meritocracy and accountability that some startups sometimes lack. If you're looking for a company that will reward drive, initiative, and innovative thinking, this is a great place to be. You are given a lot of latitude and responsibility if you prove that you're capable and are willing to take the reins on projects. However, with that responsibility comes expectations that you will be held accountable for. If you're up for that challenge, you'll love it here.

Cons

Given how busy we are and how fast we're growing, there are a lot of conflicting priorities all that needed to be done yesterday. Environment can be high pressure and stressful at times. These also leads to people sometimes being too in the weeds of fixing a bug or closing a deal instead of stepping back and looking a the big picture of how their work in contributing to the company's growth.
