Pros

Security + tech should be a winning combination.

Cons

I am baffled by the value proposition and why they are perplexed at 50% turnover. Work 70+ hours per week, get degraded by leadership, and never get to take the"unlimited" PTO. Pay and benefits are average but I can work these hours and deal with inept management anywhere. Also, it is true that most of the positive reviews were written by marketing or legal.

Thank you for your feedback. It is true that we are a high-octane culture with high expectations. We do offer all employees unlimited PTO and are putting even more measures in place to ensure that our employees take the time away from work needed to decompress. For example, we just completed an employee wellbeing survey where all employees had the opportunity to tell us exactly how we can better support their overall wellness. It's an exciting time at SSC as we continue to put in place employee-first policies and procedures.

Pros

Cool product, market opportunity is big

Cons

Leadership, toxic culture, no real strategy. There are really so many things wrong with this company it’s hard to know where to start. It’s a real shame because the market opportunity and potential for success are huge. I think the executive staff is the major problem, mostly the CEO. Good majority are inexperienced, making emotional decisions, have a reputation of being hot headed and are just not genuinely nice, approachable people. This causes the wrong people to be hired and the culture to continuously suffer. I have never seen a revolving door like this one, at a company. It’s mind blowing they don’t do more to solve the problem. It is incredibly expensive to hire people and lose them months later. It’s clear at this point, they don’t care or don’t have a clear understanding of their problems. I’ve been in meetings with multiple leaders that were downright abusive. Any solid person would not put up with that, so therefore all the A players leave. When they do, the employees left pay the price because many things are done in silos and there are not mature processes. There are not goals within the different organizations. Leaders do not plan cross-functionally. Because there is no clear strategy, everything becomes a priority. This leaves employees overworked and never feeling the sense of over achievement. Leaders get a lot of pressure from the executive team and do not shelter their teams from it. Instead it trickles right down and becomes everyone’s problem. This is not effective and leads to a very unhappy employee base. I could go on and on and on. Hopefully they figure things out. Great product and a lot of potential.

Thank you for taking the time to provide such detailed feedback. We do not tolerate any employee treating another employee this way. It is true that we are still refining our approach to cross-company strategy, and we know that doing so will result in an even brighter future. As with all ultra-high growth companies, we move fast and it's not a typical 9-5 job. To address that reality, we offer benefits like unlimited PTO and weekly peer-to-peer recognition during our all-hands. PS - we agree we have a great product with a great future!
