Pros

Generous PTO. Room for advancement if you don't hate your job. Some supervisors, like Andy, are great. Good location. I started on 1/15/14 and was excited and thankful to get my start in insurance.

Cons

Excessive work load, low morale, high turnover and low morale. Their database, shuts down every month, meaning you can't complete half your work for that day. Entry level employees such as Claims Examiner I, work 37 hour work week, but all higher level positions require 60-70 hour work week. The amount of expected, unpaid overtime, will make you resent this place.

Pros

Paid holidays Plenty of vacation (if you are able to use it)

Cons

No work home life balance. Workload and expectations are crazy and you are set up to fail. At any given time there will be someone in the office crying and that includes the supervisors. If a colleague is out on vacation or out on STD there is no coverage. Colleagues are unable to finish their own work never mind be told you have to cover other peoples desk.

Pros

Co-workers ("colleagues" in Sedgwick speak) are friendly and usually helpful PTO is good, but no more generous than other employers in the insurance industry Easy to use system

Cons

Extremely high work load makes for 6 day work week Assigned claims even when on PTO Return from even a short PTO to an out of control desk File auditors lack any common sense Team leaders give minimal direction and don't bother reading file notes before criticizing work Dismal pay and no monetary bonus. Bonus for 2014 is again allowing employees to wear jeans and tennis shoes Ready, shoot, aim upper management mentality Absolutely no upward mobility
