Pros
- Helpful and nice colleague; most people are willing to teach and guide you - Ownership of your own projects even early in your career; many consulting firms have Managers that manage you and the projects but you get the lead your projects and become an “expert” in your field - Hands on learning and immediate client work - Very relaxed work culture (request PTO whenever as long as you get all your work done)
Cons
- CRM focused; hard for Analyst to get the pay, promotion, and recognition they deserve even though they do all the technical work - Top heavy company; there are many Analyst that stay Analyst for 4+ years with no promotions unless someone retires or quits - Pay and bonus is not based on the quality of your work or billable hours. Due to the “one company” policy, high performing teams may get less to offset low performing teams. - Hard to be in control of your career progression/bonus since billable hours are based on how many projects are sold (this is the CRMs job) so if not enough work is sold you won’t meet your billable goals and likely won’t get a promotion or decent salary increase and bonus.
