      There is always room for growth, and its a good place to get experience and leave

      Cons

      Management is terrible, pay is very low for the amount of work you do, worried about production more than accuracy, it is a revolving door for new employees, training is very short lived then you are on your own....

      Pros

      They have a new grad training program, but you have 6 months to be considered on your own. Too many policies and procedures that current staff do not follow nor even know about. CNA's brown nose to nurses they like and then refuse to help nurses they don't like who really need help. You are pushed to make patient's happy (because this is their $$) but then they complain when you stay over to finish documentation. Charge nurse and CNA will lie about you so they don't get in trouble (especially if your new). Some nurses will help but only for a little while.

      Cons

      This is a complex environment due to the nature of being an ICU step-down. Don't get involved if your a new graduate RN. This is too complex because you can't specialize in any area. You are thrown in there with all and every, including behavioral patients!!!!

      Direct Supervisors were understanding and laid back, patients overall created positive experiences.

      Cons

      This is a cheap company who does not value their support staff! Currently being paid minimum wage for my area, after company failed to comply with local wage laws I had to fight for a wage increase to MINIMUM WAGE. The area I work requires us to pay for parking ($11/day), since this is well above my hourly rate I asked the company for assistance with this expense, after a month of constantly asking I have not gotten a firm answer. AVOID WORKING HERE IF POSSIBLE. Have seen a high turnover at company since we were bought out by select medical, I will leave this position for first new job offer.
