      Pros

      Have the ability to work from home a couple days per week if you meet certain goals. Bagels every Thursday morning. Facilities are nice.

      Cons

      Leads have been a serious challenge since a massive change last year and all upper management can say is “our reports show it’s not an issue”. Many of us sit for over an hour to get a lead on a very regular basis and once we get one it is not top tier lead. Many of us are constantly trying to get immediate managers to understand we can’t get leads on a steady basis and then those managers say they tell upper management and are told that it isn’t an issue. We are about to increase the sales force by nearly 30%! How will anyone hit goals (and make any money) with this glaring long term issue?? They have recently added more products that we have to sell that are absolutely obnoxious. Most of our home policies offer identity theft protection but we have to offer a totally different company for the same thing. Or we have to offer a product if you get hurt and can’t work. It makes zero sense to increase sales force and add products when they can’t even get the lead distribution dialed in.

      Pros

      the training is great, they cover a lot in a short period of time. They do feed you and the food is good! You are not micromanaged and not a lot of meetings, just show up on time and do your job ( definitely a job for grown-ups). They pay comm for everything and there's a lot of products to sell (adding more as well). The managers are good and not petty, they are really there to help! (No BS).

      Cons

      The customers can be a real pain... The comp plan is 17 pages! the base pay is awful! I think the base pay scares a lot of people off..

      Great company to work for! One of the best!

      Pros

      A couple of pros off the top of my head includes flexible work schedules, generous PTO plan and the company offers plenty of corporate perks. The Overland Park office is extremely nice and has excellent accommodations - including ping pong tables, an on-site gym and shuffleboard. I noticed almost immediately that SelectQuote offers a fun and relaxing atmosphere with a newly introduced casual dress policy!

      Cons

      The medical benefits are extremely pricey compared to what other employers in the area offer. There is also no Blue Cross Blue Shield option which is surprising since they seem to offer a variety of different plans through a variety of other providers.
