Pros

We have some good talent on my team and although some of the people are inexperienced they are given an opportunity to move into new positions. There are team building exercises which are really just fun ways to get out of the office with coworkers. As I grow they are beginning to trust me more. It took months to have ideas implemented before but they are starting to listen more now.

Cons

There is a lot of stress in the office because of high turn over and lack of leadership from the higher ups. Once you understand the culture here it gets better and you can fly under the radar but originally when I was hired I went home worried a lot because of the chaos in the office. The 5 stars reviews are disingenuous and most likely from management or HR which is concerning for me. I'm concerned for the future of this company. I don't know if it will be successful or not.

Dear "under the radar" team member, I'm sorry you feel this way towards the leadership and your position. Though in the last 6 months, we've hired 17 people and only terminated 3 and 1 quit.. .we find it really hard to say.. there's high turnover.. We understand when people exit a company, for whatever reason, it can be upsetting. That's why we strive to be as transparent as possible. We let the team know what's up...every time. People leave jobs. They aren't a fit. Doesn't mean they aren't good people. Maybe they aren't. I wish i could keep 100% of the people we hire.. But i also wish business was easy :) If you want to talk, my door is always open. Please.. ping me skype, slack, email, instagram, facebook, my desk on the floor.. I'd love to chat to find out why you feel this way. Thank you, JK

Pros

People in the CS team are great personalities.

Cons

Company is circling the drain. You have sales hiring like crazy but people in Success are being consistently laid off, eliminated or jumping ship because of burn out. I doubt this company will land a second round of investments and probably tank in 2023. Leadership is naive and self centered with a push for fake culture. Spending $100,000 on an off site called Camp Sendlane, but gotta eliminate positions too…seems like poor money management in my books. CEO is extremely self centered and acts like your friend till you give a notice - which don’t bother cause they will just term you the next day anyway…. Hopefully this encourages people to not apply!

No job security

Pros

Cool people, unlimited PTO, remote, company off sites

Cons

In my 2 year employment I never felt like I had job security. I was consistently of the mind that I could be let go at any moment. In my time there, I had seen entire teams laid off and sales reps fired after 1-2 months. They are always looking for reasons to let people go to “stay lean”. CEO will do anything to get ahead, it’s 100% company first and it’s clear that employees are not valued. So much so that there is absolutely no training process in place. It’s a sink or swim mentality and because of this they are demoting and firing dedicated and loyal employees and hiring outside employees from bigger mar tech companies to take their jobs. Upward mobility is looking very bleak. The only positive thing I have to say about Sendlane is that I met some amazing people that made a huge impact on my personal and professional growth.
