Everything. This was the most horrible work experience I have had in my career. Extremely superficial, shallow, and catty management and staff. It's akin to working in an office full of snotty , immature, 14 year old teens. Incredibly unprofessional. If you are unliked for any benign reason, you will be bullied by the staff to force you to quit. You will be told you are "not Sequoia material", which is the inside-company, go-to insult they hurl and anyone they deem inferior. If you question them about their discriminatory practices towards residents and prospects, you will never pushed out. You cover their dirty deeds or else. The positive reviews here are mainly written by management and are fake.

Birthday "holiday", location close to Broadway Plaza and restaurants, not much overtime

Cons

Constantly monitored (breaks, being on phone) - A LOT of micromanaging, no growth potential, annual 3% raises (not based on performance, rare to get over this), constant turnover, write ups are common, head of department has a couple favorites and very cold to everyone else, friendship is not encouraged

They want to treat the prospect/resident/customer the way they should be treated

That being said, Sequoia is way over the top. They bow down to the residents. Instead of supporting the staff, they pride themselves on a customer first environment. Turnover at the corporate level is just as high as the property level. They change their "motto" every 6 months. to show you how consistent they are. So many things mishandled and mismanaged on the property level in terms of procedure and budget. They also knew about mold/asbestos in a high moisture area and did band-aid jobs to fix the issues. Would never recommend this company to anyone. Pride/Ego from senior management ruined what has the potential to be a solid company.
