Pros

Office downtown with close proximity to restaurants.

Cons

The company churns through C-Suite level management every 2 to 3 years - there have been 3 CEOs and 4 business unit presidents during my tenure there. Now, they forced another CEO out and looking for a new. The company has been selling off their business units for the last 7 years, starting with their lawn care company, then home warranty business and now announced they would be selling off another business unit. Culture became atrocious - a couple of years ago the company came up with a set of cultural values, that none of the executive leaders exhibit. They tried to explain those values to employees like they are small children and forced everyone to have meetings to memorize definitions of the values. Management can talk at length about cultural values and how important are they in public meetings but ignores those values behind closed doors. IT has the lowest position at the totem poll - everyone else has cubicles and offices, but IT personnel sits at desks with no dividers or personal space. IT managers and even directors don't have offices, but everyone else in the company does. IT leaders have no business to be in a position they're - they brag how great their previous companies were, but haven't done anything at _this_ company to improve anything. Certain IT leaders have self-proclaimed ADDs and have an attention span of a goldfish. Mistakes are not tolerated. The company goes through occasional lay-offs and forces some people out, by creating a bad working experience for them.
