Pros

Some great co workers, some not so really Snacks Great product

Cons

Complete boys club Inexperienced “leaders” Major pipeline challenges and continuous blame game No unified sales approach Zero growth opportunities Not your traditional SaaS company. More like car sales than anything else. Really had high hopes, but glad to have left. XDRs are left out to dry, we had the worst training if you could even call it that and the one manager we had that actually knew what he was doing was let go. Check out the “leaders” i.e. VPs of XYZ, they switch roles every 2 months...anyway, good luck.

Pros

- people are nice in general besides some - free food and 100% paid benefits - Amazing mission to help the home industry - feel like you are making impact

Cons

- honestly... there is no work life balance here in some departments. An average 60 hours is a norm - Pay is horrible considering all the hours you put in to just keep up - Some department heads give out spot bonuses frequently to make up the pay gap but some heads just don't believe in spot bonuses... I guess why can't we all get paid fairly and remove the spot bonus program completely?! - toxic environment ( men swearing or yelling in rooms) - certain people get promoted every 6 months - very weak woman executives represented. If you just look around the room when you are in a meeting, you will notice there is usually no woman or very few ( like one). Oh also there are some departments that are 100% men... -women keep on resigning due to "family issues" - 6 weeks maternity leave (?!) might as well not offer any - product gap and over promises from sales to our customers - Some people think that they are elite and look down at their colleagues - keep on hiring unnecessary headcount in certain departments

We appreciate your feedback! We know that work/life balance can be difficult, and we are currently evaluating different ways to help employees manage this. This includes looking at resources and staffing to ensure we have the right team size to deliver for our customers. We do pay equity and overall compensation analysis annually to ensure we're paying both equitably within and across teams and competitively with the market. Diversity and inclusion is incredibly important to the organization and to our leadership team. We will continue to do deeper work on this front, and hope that we can set an example for our peers in tech and our customers in the trades. We hope that we are able to address some of the concerns that you've raised. Our goal is to continue to improve your experience to be a place where you choose to work and are proud to work for everyday!

Pros

Engineers. I've worked in ServiceTitan for a long time and I've met a dozen of great engineers that I've learned a lot from. But recently most good engineers left the company and there's very few people that are worth working with. Stack. Most part of the application uses the latest version of .NET Core and React which helps to be up to date with modern frameworks.

Cons

Company loses talented engineers. For the past 1-2 years things got much worse since company loses talented engineers without getting any good hires. From what I've seen company hires Senior/Staff engineers that would go on and spend a week just trying to run unit tests. Or another good examples here would be Staff level engineers that push 1-2 medium size PRs (1k lines of changes/medium size refactoring/small feature or integration with a third party API) in 6 months! Company hires more and more managers. While the overall product is still relatively small, the distance between top management and a regular engineer keeps increasing. As a result most people are now play much more politics than do actual work. Work has become much more about stroking ego of your manager than making impact on the product by building new features or helping customers resolve their issues with the product. New managers that have joined the company show little to no interest in building the product or solving customers issues, it seems that they are much more interested in Your delivery as an engineer doesn't matter. I've seen engineers that barely exist in terms of how much they deliver. It's absolutely okay for an engineer to spend 5x-10x time to build a medium size features that you would expect to be done in a month. As long as you're friends with your manager, you're completely fine. And on the other hand, you can deliver twice as much as any other engineer on the squad with a greater quality in terms how well the things that you build work in production, but if someone doesn't like you as a person they will start making things up or find the smallest thing just to put you down and tell others that you're not that great.
