Pros

Good benefits for the size of the company.

Cons

Revolving door of people. The owners choose their favorites and others are treated poorly or ignored. Direction of the company is always changing. Feel isolated working so far from other employees. Long hours surveying away from home.

Sevan Multi-Site Solutions Response

Thank you for taking time to provide your feedback, I apologize for not responding sooner. I'm happy to hear that you're liking our benefits. We work hard to make those as strong as possible and are always looking for ways to improve them, too (like the recent upgrades to our 401K program). However, I'm disappointed to hear that you're feeling isolated and ignored. I know our rapid growth has led to a large influx of new people, which makes it tough to maintain a spirit of community. We're taking active measures to address this, like holding regular regional meetings so people have a chance to get to know their fellow team members better. We're also planning an entire company get-together in January, which I'm looking forward to. On a day-to-day basis, we're also building community through our Mentor Program, which I hope you'll think about joining. We've been getting great feedback from team members who are participating. Also, feel free to call or email me or the team in HR so we can figure out other ways to get you more connected with the overall team.

Pros

Sevan truly is a Great Place to Work. They've been growing very rapidly, empower their employees to make decisions, try their best to keep the small company feel that they started with as they grow, all while producing a best in class service.

Cons

There are some growing pains associated with the rapid growth, as with any company growing this rapidly. The structure and process has some catching up to do as they breach the barrier from small to middle-sized company.

Pros

I have been with the company for about 5 years now, and it is the best move I ever made. You do need to be self-motivated as we give our employees a lot of responsibilities & freedom and expect them to act professionally (based on their level of experience). We train our employees in various methods: face-to-face meetings, conf calls, skype meetings, client webinars, jobsite and other in-field meetings. New employees are also now getting mentors to aid in their training, from others currently fulfilling the role. Additionally there are many other opportunities for personal development training either on-line, or from an individuals interest. If you take the time to build the relationships with your coworkers and client contacts, you will really enjoy your work. Some work is in-market, and other work is out-of-market, so depending on how you like to travel, that could be a pro or a con. I have found a nice balance and I have seen the company be very open about a particular position's likely travel needs. Benefits seem to be spot on to meet my families needs. Very happy with insurance costs remaining steady over the years.

Cons

If you do not like to travel, and your job requires it, well, that would be bad. Just be honest with yourself and others and you should be okay. If you are not self-motivated, this is probably not the company for you. As you can tell, it becomes very evident within the first year. Also, if you enjoy the time around the water cooler in the morning socializing, we do not have that either. Most of our employees are home-based so you need to be proactive to call or email coworkers/managers for catching up or asking questions. But team interaction is encouraged from the companies perspective.
