Pros

Up to date facility and equipment. Patient centered care. A good company for your first 1 or 2 years out of school, but search elsewhere if you want to progress your skills, career or participate in improving your work environment.

Cons

For all of the work that goes into providing a quality facility and patient experience, the opposite is true for the staff. There is little done in regards to true employee recognition, reward or retention. The Sharp experience is more of a show than reality. Management is more concerned with image and surveys than the true experience.

Pros

Nice new building to work in.

Cons

Do not get in with the company under Per Diem. You will never get hired. I have worked here for 1 1/2 years. I have great stats and attendance. You get no medical and no paid holidays or vacation. Just the 5 days that is required by the state. So basically you are not getting nothing except a pay check. Believe me you will work for it because the regular employees are taking their time off and you are covering for them. Very hard to advance in this company. Favorites are played.

Thank you for your honest review. We suggest connecting with your hiring manager to discuss a possible move to Part Time or Full Time. That way, Benefits are offered at a discount. Per Diem employees are eligible for Health Benefits, at cost. Also, please search on our career site: https://careers.sharp.com/ for current open Part Time and Full Time positions. That way, you could have an hourly change if that is what you desire. Keep up the good work!! :)

Pros

Pay, matching retirement. Patients were great and appreciated me.

Cons

Management at Home Health on Daggett Street in San Diego is sooooooooooo unbearingly, ridiculously horrible. I MEAN GUT-WRENCHINGLY HORRIBLE. THEY HAVE NO RESPECT FOR THEIR EMPLOYEES AND their talent OFFER ZERO support. They will eat you alive. They will blame you for every single thing you do, they do or other clinicians do or even for what patients lie and tell them. This job will ruin your self-esteem, put your license in jeopardy, make you depressed and take up all of your free time. They love the manipulation and the corporate blame GAMES. MANAGEMEMT IS THE VERY W0RST I'VE EVERY SEEN. DON'T DO IT. The computer program they have is ancient. The amount of time it takes to charge is double what it is in other agencies for home health. They will count every moment you are sick, and nickel and dime you about your PTO time. They will force you to work overtime. All of this is against every labor law in the country and I highly recommend that you do not apply to this place.
