Pros

Okay pay after a year and a half, nice building.

Cons

Not allowed water at your station, even for a six hour or more shift. Management is not very friendly, welcoming, or accepting. I feel that this is a hostile environment at times. Bad mats and no chairs to relieve knee and back pain for long shifts.

Pros

Most people in store and department management roles are nice enough people. Pay and benefits are in line with other grocery/retail jobs.

Cons

When I left there were a number of positions being cut, stores being closed and other efforts being made to cut expenses. It weakened employee morale and there didn't seem to be any effort on behalf of any level of management to alleviate employee concerns. The company has been bought and sold a couple of times in recent memory and that seems to have bred a lot of organizational inertia - people are happy just to have a job and there isn't any real sense of urgency or innovation.
