I Loved My Job

Pros

Working at Sheppard Pratt has been one of the best experiences of my life. I was able to get trained on every unit and learn so much during my time there. This organization is passionate about mental health. A lot of people will complain about how employees are treated but I felt beyond appreciated there.

Cons

The pay isn't great, you have to be in it because you love it, not just to get a paycheck- although you do get a Christmas bonus which I have yet to find with any other company. If you're not careful in picking up overtime you can easily burn out.

Pros

Mission is great, but I think a lot of employees don't live and breathe the mission like they should. I think Dr. Trivedi's vision for the organization is inspiring and exciting to be apart of.

Cons

Culture and accountability comes from the top down. People see the things that certain people in senior management get away with everyday. Why would you want to set that kind of example to everyone else? Nothing will ever change if that doesn't change. Turnover will continue to be horrendous and the culture will continue to be extremely negative because you're showing everyone that bullying is acceptable. Please hold EVERYONE accountable for they way they treat others (not just the ones at the bottom of the totem pole).
