Pros

Plenty of hours to pick up since we have no one left.

Cons

LOW PAY. Extremely top heavy. Stressful job with risk of injury due to unsafe staffing ratios. New CEO took away all bonuses and incentives. Walmart pays more and probably cares more about their employees.

Pros

Patients Gift shop Cafeteria Free parking Next to GBMC

Cons

Bait and Switch. Hire for one unit not telling you they make you float to other units regardless of you not having competencies to care for those patients No efforts to address discontent of nurses. Never see nursing administration. They must be afraid to walk through units Units dirty Restraints of patients above national average with no efforts to look at best practices outside of SP Very incestuous organization not using any best practices in nursing No evidence of a nursing education department Hire lots of nurses with no psych nursing experience and no efforts to teach them Orientation done by mhw telling the mix of staff mhw are the most important staff. (Great way to split staff)

Pros

My co workers were wonderful. The benefits were good.

Cons

The senior leadership was so out of touch with the direct client/patient work. There was no support from senior leadership. If you had a problem (stalking) with a client.....you had to deal with it yourself....no support. If a person was injured...only support from co-workers. The CEO makes over one million dollars a year. Yet they closed special needs schools and closed over 20 other programs.....people lost their jobs and health care.....patients lost services. My entire experience with Sheppard Pratt has been nothing less than corporate trauma. My suggestion is to move on to the next job ad....don't do it!
