Pros

Some really great talented people who bring their best and try their hardest to please the impossible.

Cons

CEO (with no BODs or oversight) has no idea how to lead, create vision, unity, or stability with senior leaders that a frightened to speak up or disagree less be fired on the spot. Managers and leaders afraid to take employee concerns to execs. Constant turnover due to without-cause terminations.

Pros

Getting a half day on Friday. Many of the employees are incredibly smart, kind, and willing to help each other out.

Cons

This is easily the worst place I've ever worked. Karen the CEO is frequently mean and cruel. During company wide meetings she would exclaim that she could have sold the company years ago for millions of dollars but chose not to because of how much she "cares." She micromanages everything and expects employees to complete impossible requests. She frequently mocks employees in public settings and laughs it off with a "don't be so sensitive" attitude. It was never constructive, just mean. Turnover is super high because working conditions are so poor, and those who have remained at the company for years are Karen's favorites and insulated because they'll say yes to anything crazy she comes up with. Here's the best example I can think of how much of a dumpster fire this company is. Take a look at the "ShipperHQ - For The Cupcake Bakers & Roller Skate Makers" video on their youtube video. Imagine how much time, money, and effort was spent buying/fixing up that truck, the film crew, recording a song, and running around Austin with employees only to get 910 views in 10 months (as of right now). Who is this video for? Did it help drive new customer acquisition or was it a vanity project to keep the CEO happy for another day?

Pros

-Half days -People are generally awesome -22 PTO days including sick -Remote rotation, 2 days every other week -Company events, meetups -Wednesday catered food in the office -Advice on lower levels is listed to, can advise on day-to-day and what's not working and have resolved, just speak up.

Cons

-Conflicting direction from upper management, startup environment and crm switch (analytics very new and need tweaking process to reflect accurate reporting) -This requires a proactive person, not quiet or people afraid to ask questions.
