Pros

Some really good and knowledgable people work here (even if they are dead inside). The company organises social events here and there with food and drink.

Cons

They are constantly hiring lowballed people just because they wish to be a large global company. The company wants you to think they really care about and praise their employees, but it is all propaganda to push their public image (notice all the LinkedIn 'people praising' posts and all the positive reviews. The company actually encourage and try to make it your job to post publicly about how good they are). The reality is very different - the turnover is massive, they don't even have enough desks. They allow some people to work fully remotely and others are required to be onsite all the time or very often (unnecessarily, as 97% of your meetings/work are on your laptop - that's if you're given a functional one). There is no soul here, people do not smile or engage in friendly chatter until after the clock strikes 6pm and management is gone. There is a tense feeling around in the office - unless you're upper management - then you can wander about chatting and distracting others because your pockets are lined by the clueless CEO. Management is reactive not proactive. Incompetent and toxic people are covered for by throwing lower-rank people under the bus. HR will tire you with all the info about protocol and processes but management do not follow these rules at all. There is a very dog eat dog culture here, no one has your back (stay away from the overly friendly ones!) and everyone is looking out for themselves because there is no security at all here, no matter if you are good at your job or not. The misogyny and condescension of women is RIFE. There is no structure, no organisation and often people have no idea what they are supposed to be doing and do their best to create work for themselves because none of their managers are doing their jobs properly. Communication between departments is painful and very lacking. Truly a disgusting place to work.

Pros

The best reason to work at Sidetrade is the product.

Cons

As I don't want to spend another second of my life dwelling on this company, I'll cut straight to the point. Regarding the cons, let's look at EVERYTHING ELSE. If you're familiar with the 3 D's methodology for handling objections (Defuse, Discover, and Deliver), let me introduce you to the 3 D's of Sidetrade: Disillusioning, Dysfunctional, and Deplorable. Disillusioning: No matter how hard you work or how dedicated you are to your team and the company, don't expect to grow a career in sales at Sidetrade. The promises of advancement are mere illusions. Dysfunctional: Achieving your targets as a business developer and bringing in new business means nothing here. Recognition for your efforts? Forget about it. The system is broken, and your contributions will go unnoticed. Deplorable: Be prepared to fight against a crooked system endorsed by senior management and the senior sales team. Despite your hard work, don’t expect to see any significant rewards on your paycheck. The financial incentives are a joke. I could write an entire novel detailing how misguided Sidetrade's vision for their Sales Development team is, but they would have to pay me for it—something they’re not accustomed to doing. Final D: Don't go there. Don't put yourself through this!

Pros

Just the colleagues so far, team was very nice. Best moment of the week is from Friday evening to Monday morning ;)

Cons

Greedy upper management based in other countries who don’t care at all about the Dublin team. Very poor tools to work. No remote work, plus the office is way too small for the size of the team, feels like you work in a good old call center, “canteen” is horrendous. Salary is below Dublin average, commission not being paid is a constant problem and how it is calculated is always at the BDR’s disadvantage, OTE impossible to reach on top of that. No career growth/opportunities. No benefits AT ALL! No health insurance, no life insurance nothing. Always promises but no change happens.
