      OK to practice jeweler skills in preparation for a better job, but head for the hills!

      Pros

      You are able to challenge yourself in a fast paced environment, which is rewarding to me on a spiritual and personal level.

      Cons

      This company will work you to the bone. Until you’re coming home in tears exhausted. You won’t see your friends or family. They said my schedule would be Monday - Friday, which is why I took the job. Then they started scheduling me weekends and said it was required I do so. Completely misleading. Also - the pay is TERRIBLE. I live paycheck to paycheck with no contribution to my savings.

      Somewhat/ very little learning and insight into the world of jewelry.

      Cons

      If you’re thinking about going into jewelry and want to get a job in the business but don’t know where to start. THIS IS NOT THE PLACE. You learn very slowly and the environment is extremely commercial. All you’re doing is learning refinement of already made jewelry. YES there are some golden nuggets of wisdom and skills that you can learn but you can also learn them off YouTube. If you are in need some something temporary sure feel free but if you think you want to get into the business of jewelry and think this might be your chance.... you’re wrong this isn’t RUN.

      full time, benefits options, job stability if you can stand staying

      Cons

      sexism/sexual harassment is common and not dealt with seriously, corruption in management and HR that essentially reports directly to management when complaints are filed, disorganized, more interested in high volume than quality, a lot of empty promises
