It's like being in a lose lose scenario with no concrete direction
Pros
Pay is adequate and geared to the region where the store is located. Benefits are reasonable Vacation is accrued from day one. Training is good, but as with all corporate training they idealize a "lay down" customer. Life isn't quite like that.
Cons
It's a sales driven culture BUT: There is nothing in writing to indicate how sales should be handled. In two months, I lost over $6000 in sales due to the manager's "interpretation" of policy rather than being able to be shown in writing. Of course, the manager made sure part of the lost sales ended under his number. The pay scale of managers on up are geared towards a bonus based on the store's profits. This encourages "short cuts" to be taken even to negating corporate policy ( as long as it isn't found out ). The company views even facebook pages and any negativity is dealt with despite the lack of a truly "open door" policy.
