Pros
Good discount on merchandise...great place to build relationships with customers...outstanding training materials (not 'trainers) because a jewelers work is a 'trade'...potentially good road to promotion IF the leadership likes you.
Cons
Must be a very 'motivated' sales hound with a knowledge of jewelry to be successful in what can be a 'cut-throat' environment. Hourly pay and group goal driven commission dollars will leave you looking for another source of income. Poor leadership at the District Manager level and up,;too political, too 'what have you done TODAY'. Even at store level...employee relationships can be kind of' 'clique driven'. No loyalty for a job well done.
