Pros

Silgan is a great company to work for, they pay very competitively and the workload is tolerable. Lots of people are friendly and willing to go out of their way to help you. Everyone has been here for many years because they are a great company to work for. From the engineering aspect, it isn't a repetitive job and you are always designing something different every day, not a role you will get bored with or not enough to do.

Cons

The only con is that Silgan could have a better benefits package. They only have a high deductible HSA plan and would like to see a low deductible plan offered as well.

Silgan is a great company to work for! Silgan has a strong Management Development Program providing the strong technical and Supervisory skills necessary to be successful. The Company provides annual training focused around Safety, Quality, continuous Improvement, Leadership Development and Technology. Silgan has a promote from within focus and recognizes the employees that perform with a potential for unlimited advancement opportunities.

Cons

Silgan is not an organization where you "just put in your time". The expectation is that everyone contribute everyday. - This is not a con, this is a Pro.
