Pros

Great product market fit and opportunity. Great coworkers. Chill environment. Empathetic leaders for the most part. Pay and benefits are pretty good for company size. Remote work. More leaders from mature companies are coming in, which was a welcome change. To scale up, we need people who have done it before, and were lacking that.

Cons

Some non-product departments are constantly aggrieved and complain about everything. The development process is a little outdated and needs to be more modern and agile. We also need more engineers.

Pros

Individual contributors were collaborative and creative.

Cons

As long as you’re making your manager or leadership look good, you’ll be fine. But the second you need help or have an idea, you get a target on your back. There was also a lack of understanding of the customer despite customer interviews, teams were out of touch with the needs of the customer. Additionally, the same work got repeated over and over again because of lack of respect for those carrying out the original projects.

Pros

Company is very clear on what is expected and works to help you achieve those expectations. Leadership actually leads and values employees.

Cons

Kind of a pro and con - moving up within the company is in your hands. Jobs are posted in internal job boards but it can be difficult to move to different groups or to try and get promotions.
