Poor Culture

Pros

The paychecks were consistent and deposited on a bi-monthly basis.

Cons

Santa Monica's location was awful for people who couldn't afford to live on the West Side. Commuting over an hour was common. Leadership always made racially or sexist charged comments. One time, the point was brought up that they should move the company downtown, but the CEO rebuked it and said it was too "brown." At the time, they would not let you work remotely, even for one day, because they didn't were "old school." The VC people funding SP are conservative and voted for Trump.

Toxic!

Pros

The office has a bathroom.

Cons

Terrible management. The product sucks. The culture is mean spirited and unstable. The old CEO (Howard Spector) established a culture of mediocre management, non-analytical, little domain expertise, and very caddy. Just awful. Constantly changing priorities, little love for customers, and poor execution will drive this company into the ground. Simple Practice is a mess of a company.

Good Culture - Pay not so good

Pros

The company’s culture and the people is unique and different. While I enjoyed working with some I have met so far, there were a handful I would stay away from. I’ve been listening and observing conversations amongst different individuals and at times the “tone” just not sit well with me.

Cons

The pay is below average especially when the company raves at how awesome they are and the benefits that comes with being employed there. I should have done my research and negotiated my salary because I am underpaid according to the average salary for a product specialist within my location.
