Pros

- A lot of responsibilities and room for growth right out of college. Management have a lot of trust in employees. - Everyone is cool and humble to work with. - Flexible environment, unlimited PTO

Cons

- Pay is below market when you first start (you get raises though). - The groups can get cliquey, but it's getting better. - Young company, so no clear job divisions, career path, and exit opportunities. Good if you want to do generalist-ish roles at startups, not great if there are specific things you want to do.

Pros

I worked in the call center for nearly a year before leaving on my own terms in good standing with the company. They're flexible with hours - I was a student as were some other call center employees and management was very understanding, as long as you worked full time @ 40 hours a week (no part time work). Other perks include free coffee, beer on Fridays, paid team outings, paid holidays, good insurance coverage, a free security system/monitoring and "unlimited overtime". The location is great-it's downtown and close walking distance to State, Government Center, and Park St stations. Lots of lunch options nearby.

Cons

- The overtime was not actually unlimited - when I actually started working doubles to take advantage of the overtime, management changed the rules to limit the overtime. - The work itself was SOUL draining. I don't know how people last more than a year here, which may explain why the turnover is so high. Everyone is trained differently and told different information from their supervisors/leads and there are several issues customers call about that many call center employees don't know the correct info about. There are way too many times that I've heard "Oh everyone thinks that but it's actually not true" or "Yes the Intranet says that but it's incorrect" and the incorrect info stays on the Intranet where employees continue to read it and relay incorrect info to customers. - The systems are ridden with issues. Some customers have to call in every week and, as you can imagine, are pissed about it. - Awful communication. The marketing dept will launch a new campaign and the call center employees will have idea which looks bad to customers. - Large groups of workers would get fired every few weeks and everyone would stress about whether or not they'd still have a job at the end of the month. - Apparently the office has had a bedbug infestation since March 2017 and management has kept it quiet, causing call center employees to unwittingly take home parisitic bugs...not surprising at all.

Thank you so much for your candid feedback, we appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your experience. Call center and technical support work is difficult, but the team provides an invaluable service to our customers and their safety. We are growing very quickly and with that comes some growing pains. We are learning new ways to communicate, this period of growth will challenge us in many ways but passionate employees like yourself will keep us moving in the right direction.

Pros

Beer fridays, chill atmosphere, young space, free coffee, lots of hours, no dress code, stepping stone kind of company, looks good on a resume. Health Insurance, 2 weeks Paid time off per year.

Cons

New company, most people in supervisor roles and HR have never learned how to manage people. Messy, inconsistant training. many customers call about 3 times before getting any resolution, since not many represenetives know what to look for or the best solutions, a symptom from lack of training. No struction for warnings or write ups. No raises, not many chances for promotions.
