Advice to Management
employee morale is low due to distrust of the C-suite, and there is no direction forward. After covid saw two rounds of layoffs, continual underperformance of business goals, and a top level management who absolutely refused to look inward. SiriusXM laid off 8% of their workforce in 2023. The meeting to inform employees of the layoffs was a pre-recorded video in which the CEO read from a script. To me, this was a microcosm of the complete lack of respect for the employees’ dignity.
