Pros

Some flexibility with working from home, don’t have to be intelligent or understand business to get ahead/get promoted (just need to suck up).

Cons

Wow - so many. Culture is horrible. Senior leadership is too busy lining their pockets to care about the corporate terrorism that goes on below them. Many, many more - don’t have time to list every one.

Pros

Celebrity access, some good people

Cons

Take a long look at companies that choose to let go 8% and 3% of their people within 12 months. Nearly 650 people whose livelihoods and families were put under fire by poor leadership. Leadership that stood on a stage in front of an audience of employees and bragged about SXM's cash position vs. Spotify and iHeart just months before a mass layoff. Leadership that has been at the company for 15-20 years in comfy cushy positions... should be a red flag for any future job seekers looking at SXM.

Pros

Half day Fridays Great people Great product and brand to represent

Cons

No growth opportunities within the company once you reach a certain level. Language used is often demeaning to employees Very top heavy One out of five: do not recommend. If you're looking to be demeaned daily and ruled by a secret society of decision makers, then this is the place for you. There is no autonomy allowed demonstrated by high titled employees not empowered to make decisions. Decisions only come from above, and everyone is told to just say yes. Expect a review process that is both meaningless and humiliating at the same time, as well as a promotion process that's just a popularity contest. High school was much easier than the politics at SXM. In the past, SXM paid very well. But with cuts to bonus payouts, and paltry increases, the great resignation has made that statement obsolete. When your compensation goes down year over year, yet workload increases year over year, it equates to a company that doesn't value their employees. Half day Fridays are wonderful but don't make up for it.
