Pros

- Good salary at industry level in Asia: the salary and benefits offered are competitive compared to most jobs offered locally - Great culture and work ethic but limited to Aarki only

Cons

- Senior management within Skillz shows signs of toxicity, with most of the business unit's former heads at Aarki, including its co-founder, departing over the course of 2022. - Aarki's concerns were mostly placed in the back burner since its acquisition in 2021: no clear communication on what they planned to do with us until the near end of 2022 - Mass layoffs are a reality within the tech industry, but it would've immensely helped to have at least a two week's notice especially when you're doing business in countries where at-will employment is not a cultural norm.

Pros

Global alignment with the US team is generally positive. The core product and business model have potential, and individual team members are talented and hardworking.

Cons

Heavy Micromanagement: Management does not trust employees to work independently. Constant oversight destroys daily productivity and dampens motivation. Toxic Management Style: The work environment feels hostile. Instead of getting support, 1:1 meetings are used to intimidate employees and threaten them with job loss. Lack of Technical Guidance: Managers lack the technical skills needed to guide projects or solve problems. When things go wrong, they blame individual contributors to avoid accountability. No HR or Leadership Support: There are no reliable channels or higher-ups to turn to if you experience unfair treatment or management issues. You are completely on your own. Huge Branch Disconnect: The global office has a great culture, but the local branch has deteriorated due to poor leadership decisions.

Pros

None, if you consider overworking then sure

Cons

- Extremely poor project management - Leads that are arrogant and don't do anything apart from building pressure and boss you around - No one knows whats going on in code base - Volatile in nature, today you are part of the team tomorrow you might be asked to leave
