Pros
I’m grateful for the education, hands-on training, and incredible mentors I had while at SkinSpirit. Those relationships were the highlight of my time there and gave me skills I’ll carry with me.
Cons
The company itself feels like it’s losing its sparkle. What once felt special and exclusive, is now just another growing corporate chain that is more focused on expansion than retention. Good employees slip away, and the culture that made it unique is being replaced by a “big box” feel. Hiring practices have also taken a questionable turn. It sometimes feels like a Nordstrom resume is the golden ticket, when in reality, selling lipstick or knowing how to curl your hair doesn’t necessarily prepare someone to support providers in a medical aesthetics practice. This field needs knowledgeable, personable people who understand patient care, not just a sales floor. At this point, SkinSpirit is becoming the Olive Garden of med spas: consistent, recognizable, but missing that authenticity and soul that originally set it apart.
