Pros

Longevity Stability There is a sense of responsibility among individual contributors as the team size is bare minimum Ok for fresh graduates and after few years YOU must EXIT. The company culture ain't for achievers.

Cons

Average set of people including Management. Pay is below market standard Thinking outside the box is not in the culture Skyworks IT is not top notch, Management lacks any kind of skills whatsoever. There is no sense of pride among workers

A plate of hot bureaucracy

Pros

-Very smart colleagues, who usually aren't bashful about whiteboarding with you. -Annual bonuses can be pretty generous. Relocation packages are meh, but the allowances and bonuses are appreciated if you are moving to the area. Compensation is well-documented.

Cons

-Everyone is posturing for maximum visibility. -Witch hunt culture. Finger pointing and contention all over the place. -You like meetings? If you don't, you'd better get used to them, preferably while having a meeting about it. -Work-life balance is awful. You'll be expected to be on call, ready for support at all times. That includes nights (well after midnight) and weekends, and it's commonplace for you to need to take action in those situations. You can't ever be far from your laptop. -Everything seems to be tribal knowledge. Procedural documentation is impenetrable, which makes changing processes extremely difficult. -Two of my coworkers have had heart attacks in the last two years. That should tell you enough. The day of my interviews, two different people who are now my coworkers advised me not to take the job. I should have listened. Don't make the same mistake I did.
