Pros

- Work life balance is nice. Decent career growth potential (if management likes you)

Cons

- Awful management. I have never been so belittled before in my life, by anyone. It felt like I was getting bullied or in an abusive relationship...? Was so strange, considering I am a full grown competent adult who was succeeding at their job. I am confident and sound enough to remove myself from the situation and not try to win these people over. I would suggest looking elsewhere....

Pros

WFH, dental, decent healthcare, maternity leave

Cons

My manager is the most miserable human being I have ever associated with. He’s created the most toxic work environment for everyone on my team. The turnover is mind boggling and they will fire you before you even have a chance. Have to keep your head down and be a robot or you’ll be a target. A manager can make or break your experience here and the majority of the good ones have left. Smartsheet made the worst decision by recently changing its licensing model in the middle of its Q4. Hard to believe mass layoffs won’t happen. The product is dying quickly and for some reason the company has destroyed itself from within with the changes. Do not come work here at this time and of course I’m praying the acquisition will lead to something positive but as of today it is a nightmare here.

Pros

- The product is pretty cool and fun to work with - Ground-level colleagues are hard working and intelligent - Benefits are decent - Pay is competitive

Cons

- Expect a long onboarding & ramp-up period if you don't have any prior experience. It's almost impossible to hit your bonusable targets in the first 6-10 months. - Consulting environment is T O X I C - Middle-level management is lacking, to say the least. It's where they put you if they don't want to let you go, but you've climbed to the top of the short consulting promotions ladder, resulting in underqualified managers with large teams working underneath them. I saw a review that said "low EQ," and it was spot on. Another review mentioned pushing people out with "poor performance reviews"... also spot on. You will feel incredibly uneasy, wondering if your job is at risk. It's not fun living under a microscope. - Because of all the reasons listed above, there is high turnover in consulting. It is extremely difficult to move to a different internal team. It will be held against you if you try to apply.
