- Supportive leadership that's there when you need them while giving you enough autonomy to move quickly. - Solid compensation and benefits including unlimited PTO coming in 2022, RSU grants, and an attractive ESPP - Still heavily investing into making the product scalable within Enterprise customers, while delivering new capabilities to draw in smaller orgs and new departments. - Great work life balance

Cons

Growing pains like any hypergrowth Saas product, including processes changing and maturing to meet our scale.

Pros

Smartsheet has an unprecedented opportunity in front of us and our leadership, investors, and customers continually remind us of this. In many ways I feel very lucky to be here because of the opportunity to be challenged, learn, fail, and succeed. The culture is still very collaborative even though the company has tripled since I joined.

Cons

While the company is growing, it has been growing mostly in a flat way. There aren't a lot of career advancement opportunities emerging. We're hiring a ton of experienced executives from outside, and growing our base of individual contributors, but there hasn't been a lot of opportunities to grow your scope or move into a management role across many teams. Although the overall culture is very connected, transparent, and honest, there are certain teams that are overworked and creating silos because of it. I think there needs to be more accountability for those teams that are overworked and lack prioritization because they are a tax on other teams that are managed in a healthy way.

Pros

The product is great and continues to improve over time. We invest heavily into making a product our customers love. Because the software is so flexible, there's a lot of opportunity to have different and interesting conversations with multiple departments for multiple use cases, which will be great experience for future opportunities and growth. Above all, the people here are great!

Cons

The company has been growing rapidly and, with that, comes some growing pains when building more mature processes and adding new application in our internal environments. The learning curve and impediments along that journey can be an added challenges to the daily routine.
