Pros

Good benefits, have some really talented sales reps that aren't paid attention to. .

Cons

Product portfolio that is way behind industry standard. When your best product in the bag is a meniscal repair device, that says a lot. Takes forever to launch products. Way too bureaucratic and risk aversed. Also, I thought that employees were valued here but that was clearly not the case. The pay and comp plan pays very low at plan comparitive to others in the industry. The non compete agreement pretty much keeps you out of a job even if you are laid off. I was told by a lawyer it is the broadest most grossly encompassing non compete he had ever seen. So thank you Smith and Nephew for laying me off and allowing me zero opportunity to find any kind of similar job locally.

Pros

Great vacation accrual. Decent benefits.

Cons

Absolutely do not care about their employees in any meaningful way. Will let go of the best contributors to save a few dollars rather than cut bonuses for executives.

Pros

The people are the best part of Smith & Nephew. Every rep from every division. The district managers are all great leaders for our teams and I wouldn't want to work with for anyone else.

Cons

The senior leadership is the worst part of Smith&Nephew right now. NPWT is not the place to be if you want to make money. They have cut commissions and forced great talent to exit the organization. They have tried multiple solutions to drive sales growth that unsurprisingly declined when commissions were cut. The only solution they haven't tried... readjusting compensation. Deepak's decision to bring in Rohit is not looking good for the future of this sales force or division.
