Pros

Been promoted a few times, all deserved. I am very thankful for the leadership and mentorship I get from the sales team. They are instrumental in my success and I don't think I can get that at another company.

Cons

Company policies have buttoned up big time and it's affecting employee well-being. For example, we've been on a swag-ban for almost a year and can't send swag to our customers. Pretty disappointing especially when our name is across billboards and banners across the country, but we can't send a tshirt. We also can't extend our company travel the way we used to,even it's for a lesser or equal price. Many Snykers wanted to extend their SKO trip a day or two, or arrive a day early due to timezone issues or wanting to see family and not have to pay for a hotel. Snyk blocked all employees from doing that and we're all very unhappy about it. Seems like a trust/control issue.

We also feel that our sales culture is unique in the market and are glad that you feel similarly. The recent changes in our corporate policies, particularly swag and employee travel, have come as a result of our organization continuing to focus on efficient and scalable growth. Pros

Lovely, caring people (many of which have left or are leaving the company or have been laid off)

Cons

- Do not value existing employees, would rather hire new externals rather than address issues and recognise hard work of current individuals - Poor earning potential compared with other incoming competitors in the space - Certain individuals on the leadership teams creating a toxic atmosphere -Lack of top-down communication and transparency -Constant, nonstop changes without any real improvements to processes or productivity - Product itself is good but facing many issues that need to be addressed

Pros

I think people throughout the company mean well, they just don’t know how to take charge, stick to a plan and execute. It’s a fine place to work if you want a 8:30 - 4 (East Coast) job, salaries are pretty high.

Cons

Snyk seems to do everything slightly differently and less efficiently than all other tech companies I’ve worked at. Their processes for fairly routine tasks like updating the website or requesting new design assets are unnecessarily complicated, it was actually laughable. It’s standard to wait 3 weeks for something, and once you get it there are multiple errors. I would not call them nimble. The other major con is the extremely Bro culture that leadership encourages and fosters. The quarterly sales award meetings will make you cringe - fancy watches are handed out and there is so much talk about which sales bros got wasted at Happy Hour last week.

Thank you for sharing your experience working at Snyk, we truly value employee feedback and take it seriously. While it can be frustrating to wait for design assets, and even more frustrating if there are errors, we encourage a culture of feedback and ask our employees to speak up on areas that could be improved. We know there is always more that we can do and your feedback helps show us that, thank you - Erin Casey, Manager, Talent Attraction Programs
