      Pros

      Great company with an amazing mission to help people. The value to customers is so large that it makes it easy to get motivated. Fast moving company where anything seems possible. A very bright future.

      Cons

      The engineering department seems to play by different rules which affects the morale of the rest of the company in a major way.

      Excitement around where things are heading

      Pros

      The business is growing and there's a lot of excitement about where the company is going. A lot of this comes from execution from all groups, including financial teams, marketing teams, and ops.

      Cons

      There are lots of important groups and departments, plus lots of moving pieces. That makes communication challenging at times, and finding out what happened can sometimes be a function of knowing the right person. But the senior management team tries with weekly company meetings. I wish engineering and product teams were more collaborative and open with other functions, instead of being so silo'ed.

      Pros

      I feel like I'm contributing with impactful change with both the company and in the lives of our borrowers. I feel completely fulfilled with the change I'm making to create a difference with my challenging work and see the results with borrowers stopping me on the street when I wear my SoFi shirt to thank me. Really fun team and great people. Hang outside of work with monthly happy hours, soccer team, BBQs, friends. Beautiful office and very cool to work at LDAC (home of Star Wars). Although we work hard, I love it so much that it doesn't seem like work. I'm given the responsibility to do what needs to be done and held accountable to my results. Management is excellent. We work with some of the most brilliant people in the world.

      Cons

      Never enough time to do everything I want to do. So many aspects we want to work on that we need to prioritize and not everything gets done. Growing so fast the communication is always evolving with new people on the team.
