Pros

Super easy especially if you are at a slow site. The job itself is not complicated Bonuses if you sell good but dont expect it they will probably promote you if you get a lot of bonuses so they dont have to pay you the bonuses as often people move up quickly company tries to be eco friendly lots of opportunity to advance quickly Car wash attendant->customer service rep-> trainer-> shift supervisor-> assistant site manager->site manager-> upper levels (district manager, corporate, hr, social media, maintenance and other behind the scenes roles)

Cons

some of the managers take themselves too seriously, you work at a car wash upper management use deceiving tactics, they don't tell customers if a wash is going to be closing. not much to do= people talking a lot, people talking = rumors and so much drama. lots of pressure to sell for CSRs, this is because your supervisors and site managers get bonuses on YOUR sales. Higher conversion for them (from your work) = bigger paycheck. customers complain about shady practices, and the solution a lot of the time is to tell them to call the help line, and then they complain that no one answers it. most entry level positions are hella lazy, wont do the bare minimum of their very easy job your experience at soapy joes will highly depend on your manager and coworkers, it isnt the job that is hard but working with your team that can be difficult.

Pros

Easy to learn everything about the job

Cons

Management does not care about you. You can report things that are against the handbook and they will get you in trouble instead of assessing the situation. You can report it to higher management but they do a good job with silencing you. HR does NOT know how to do their job. Basically if you do anything illegal and you are a favorite, you won't get in trouble. If you are not a favorite you will be manipulated and used and thrown around. They will make you work off the clock at times for example calling you on your lunch to help. Work is also divided unevenly. Favorites work less and everyone else has to pick up after them. Managers will leave the site unattended for hours and then when called will not answer even though they are on salary. Supervisors complain about doing stuff they have to do and if they don't feel like it will make someone else do it. Managers will cut your hours without telling you. Only certain people can call off and use sick hours for non sick reasons. The machine is always broken so we had to deal with the angry customers who were waiting in line and management never had a solution to these problems. Not enough vacuums for the amount of cars they wanted to push every hour. Never enough towels to supply or never enough detergent to wash the towels so most of the time it would just be washed with water. Many more cons but if you decide to work here do not become friends with your coworkers, everyone is fake and will rat you out to protect themselves. Stick to yourself and just do the easy job.
