Honeymoon phase (it was good at first)

Pros

-Great benefits (401k matching, health insurance, stock options, unlimited PTO, etc) -Amazing co-workers -Good work-life balance UNLESS you are a wellness coordinator (client/therapist support) -Fully remote -Potential to have a good product All in all, this was exactly like the honeymoon phase that relationships endure: it was amazing at first and then it slowly started crumbling.

Cons

-Terrible compensation. With inflation growing, it's even worse. I was barely able to pay my bills (to the point that my parents were helping me some months; talk about embarrassment) and could never enjoy the small things in life (like eating out) because I didn't have the money. -Favoritism and cliques. You are only moved up in the company if you are a favorite within upper management. -The product could be amazing but they do not care to fix the issues with it. Instead they deploy bandaid fixes and once the bandaid fix fails, they deploy another bandaid. Take the time to actually fix the bugs and the product will be awesome. -They hire amazing, passionate, smart people and burn them out and run them into the ground resulting in employees quitting. -Employee turnover is VERY high, please take care when considering working at this company. -If you take issues to HR, they will sweep it under the rug in an effort to protect SonderMind. They are not there to support you as an employee. -This company negatively impacted my mental health more than I could have ever imagined. The irony in that is shocking since this is a company that seeks to help clients improve their mental health. -They say that they care about their employees, yet they force the support team to work on days that the ENTIRE company has off. Ex: the whole company gets the last week of the year off EXCEPT for the support team. It felt incredibly wrong taking that week off myself, knowing that the support team was still working. Overall they have many improvements to make before they are a good company internally. There is so much potential here, but they don't seem to care to make changes.

Pros

- good benefits - free mental health services - ability to learn a lot and work cross functionally - great place to network with others - flexible scheduling - minimal experience needed - if you do well mobility is possible

Cons

- big pay gap between SDR and AE - lack of management - turnover rate is big - seems as though managers are afraid of director and higher ups - you will probably work over 40 hr's per week - C suite seems to brag about the company and ignore problems (i.e. attrition) - goals are unrealistic - team is very small for what the goals are - main revenue creator for the entire company - lots of over promising and under delivering from directors and managers - expectations unknown until too late - hurry up and wait mentality - directors added a percentage cap to avoid paying ppl for work done if they don't hit a goal that is unknown until the beginning of the month - sometimes even far into the month.

Pros

Exceptional executive leadership. From the CEO (Mark) on down they are passionate about what we do and about making a real difference while taking care of the employees. They are amazingly transparent about decisions and how things are going, which gives me a sense of being a valued, trusted part of the team.

Cons

Typical startup growing pains...we've doubled in size in last few months. Maintaining culture while growing this fast continues to be a focus.
