Pros
The mission of the company is admirable. Helping people acquire therapy services in a proficient way, getting people matched with potentially “good fit” therapists based on what they need help with, etc. It’s a beautiful idea. The compensation was nice as well.
Cons
Severely understaffed, duties and tasks just kept piling on employees to a point where one person is doing a 3-person job. Excessive burnout experienced by Wellness Coordinators. No disciplinary structure e.g. no verbal, written, or final warnings. Implemented a “point system” with attendance but there’s no transparency given to employees on the policy itself. The Customer Operations department always seems to be an afterthought when it comes to company events, when they’re the ones on the front lines, handling client calls. 2 years ago, SonderMind was a bright, hopeful company that really shared employees were cared for and yes, it was a busy, fast-paced environment, but it made you look forward to working. Now that it’s grown, it seems to have fallen into that “you’re just a number, easily expendable asset” mentality that a lot of big corporations adopt. It’s a shame.
