Pros

You will gain exposure to fast-paced environments

Cons

If I could give zero stars, I would. Unless you’re comfortable sacrificing your time, well-being, and professional values, I strongly advise against applying. The company shifts its business model every 6–12 months, reflecting a serious lack of long-term vision or stability. Leadership seems unsure of the company’s direction, and that uncertainty trickles down to every level. The culture rewards silence over contribution. Speaking up or offering a differing opinion is often met with resistance or outright dismissal- where senior management tends to be disorganized, hierarchical, and unapproachable. Employees are overworked and undervalued, with little to no investment in their growth, benefits, or career development. This company has deteriorated significantly and the trend shows no signs of reversing.

Danger: Run

Pros

The benefits are stellar and the pay is good if you can last at the company. They are bringing new interesting products to market. The mission of the company is compelling. Helping the Deaf community and the aging population.

Cons

There are a number of legacy employees, but the PE has been trimming highly-paid, high performers (along with the typical low performers) in multiple RIFs, so there's no stability. Over the past 5 years, there have at least 4 that I saw before I left. They dont know who they want to be when they grow up. The PE wants to see growth and they dont know how to break out of their legacy product offering to increase revenue. They also are very slow to innovate and bring products to market. This is coupled by losing market share to more agile players who are bringing fresh tech to the industry. The gravy train with their existing products is starting to show signs of shrink and they're losing ground as the industry leader

Pros

Helping the Deaf community communicate

Cons

Terrible management, both before and especially after the sale to an investment firm Destructive management tactics meant to force everyone that they couldn’t lay off into quitting The company’s mission to the Deaf has been all but forgotten
