Let me be very clear, I am writing the cons from the perspective of a Developer.
1. A lot of good ratings on Glassdoor itself are fake, so that they can attract more people to join the company. So you will find some fake 5 star ratings, just like you will find similar fake reviews on their so called products and related paid articles on tech blogs.
2. Absolutely no work-life balance. Be it a weekend, a holiday or even a national holiday, you will be asked to work anytime at any of these days so that the higher management can cover up their mistakes.
3. Let me be clear, this is "NOT" a startup. This is just a small service-based company. A startup is meant to be a company which is generally associated with a product company that is focused on a product which the creators feel is the next big thing
and has at least 1% chances of success. So, it either fails or becomes a huge success.
But, this is a small(7 year old) company, with ever decreasing number of good employees and absolutely no work culture, with the only motto being to somehow earn money. This can even come at cost of the dissatisfaction of the employees or even the clients.
4. Employees neither have any stock options, benefits, are given a poor leave policy and also there is no guarantee of rewards for your hardwork which you have put in.
5. You don't have time to learn something new on your own, and none of the good practices are followed here, and neither do you get to work on great apps.
6. Your growth is stagnant after some time, and it becomes very difficult to get a job somewhere else, where you are expected to know a lot of things.
7. Since the company and its management hierarchy is very unstable, you are not even sure of your job even after working your butt off. The same way, all your hard work put under the supervision of a manager goes to waste once he/she leaves the company. And, this is very frequent trend last two years.
8. When the time comes for giving employee benefits, they shy away from it by saying that the company is a startup. But, when you expect the same startup culture and transparency, they try to act like a big enterprise.
9. All the people at top management are leaving or have left, and each and every developer is disgusted, dissatisfied and afraid. They all want to leave whenever they get a chance.
10. Dont be in this delusion that you will get to work on their once-in-a-blue-moon products. You will be only working on crappy apps which wont get you any professional mileage.
11. There are times when they encourage you to come up with feedback. If you do so, and they don't like it, it will go against you and you will be seen as a rebel, and will most likely be fired despite your true feedback to make the company better
