Who would have thought that working for a tax software company could be fun?! I’m constantly impressed by our departments and truly believe it’s our people that make Sovos the fun, successful company it is today. We emphasize working as one team and prioritize collaboration to help our clients manage the complexities of global tax. That takes a lot of work and I am proud at how dedicated our employees are to that mission. With that said, our intention is not to overwhelm our hardworking Sovosians. If you don’t feel like your workload is manageable, please make sure to speak with your manager. Or if you’d feel more comfortable - I’d be happy to discuss this with you further. Thanks for your feedback. I know what you mean, my co-workers are my favorite part of Sovos too. Our organization is made up of so many talented and inspiring individuals who do incredible work. I always consider myself lucky to work alongside all of you. And I agree, there are areas where we can do better. Meetings are a good example, it’s an area where we know that we can improve. The pivot to having so many of our employees working remotely due to our new flexible guidelines has certainly impacted the number of meetings here. We have had our leadership development program and other focus groups tackle this problem in the past. If you have some ideas about how to ensure meetings are a good use of our time, I would love to hear them. And that holds true for everyone, we are always looking for feedback on ways that we can do better.
