      Great place to work, still evolving as a company.

      Pros

      Engineers are actually given responsibility and authority for their part/component/system/vehicle. Unheard of in any aerospace environment any where in the world. Decisions are made at light speed. We move so fast, we can recover from the inevitable bad decisions that are made.

      Cons

      Long hours, but getting better. Move so fast many times the system engineering, and definition of the actual requirements are not completed before moving out on implementation.

      Pros

      I've been with SpaceX for about a year and a half. It is probably the 4th company I've worked for in my career thus far. That being said, these are my thoughts for the benefits: - Making history. - Work with some of the smartest people you'll ever meet. - Great perks. - EQUITY!

      Cons

      With the good, also comes the bad as with any other company. - High pressure environment. - Hours (it's not a 9 - 5 job by any means).

      Pros

      We are going to Mars. Otherwise, on Earth, this is a really vibrant place to work. People here are of the work hard play hard mentality, making it a really productive but also fun place to be. The typical SpaceXer is brilliant, creative, hard-working and highly adventurous. There are never-ending milestones, challenges and successes to keep us inspired. You should work here if rocketry and spaceships are exciting enough for you.

      Cons

      Salary is lower than average for the same job elsewhere, while we work longer hours than average and get no overtime. Maybe the stocks will someday make up for it.
