There is a great work-life balance and the company cares a great deal about educating their employees. When many companies are trying to save money but cutting employee fringe benefits, Spectrum is consistantly offering many opportunities for education/advancement. There is frequent hiring/promoting from within. I have been with the company for almost 3 years and I have seen emense growth.. there is no sign of slowing down. In fact, 2015 is going to be a huge year of growth and there will be many opportunities for the staff in MA. Generous time-off policy.

There is room for inprovement in on-the-job training.

At my particular program, we didn't have to work Fridays, although other programs did.

Cons

3 audits a month. Very difficult requirements. Not enough counselors to perform adequately.

The work inside of prison is never boring and is always different

they dont care about your job performance aka no room to grow, no supplies to do the job, no support from upper management i could go on and on
