Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're genuinely sorry to hear that your time at Spokeo was so challenging. Your impressions are not what we would hope any team member would take away from their time at Spokeo, so we do appreciate you voicing your concerns, and we’re always striving to improve. It’s disappointing to hear that you felt misled during the interview process or unsupported during training. That’s not the experience we aim to provide. We understand that training can feel fast-paced, especially in customer-facing roles, and we're continuously refining our approach to ensure that new hires feel prepared and supported. Your comments about the shift assignment process and team dynamics are also being taken seriously. While we do have all new hires who successfully finish training also complete a probationary period, we continuously review our processes and practices to look for ways to improve. That said, Spokeo is a mission-driven company that values people as much as performance. Our training and management teams are made up of individuals who care deeply about helping others succeed. The average tenure of our Customer Support staff who have completed their initial probationary period is 6.4 years (I just checked our records). We continue to be committed to listening, growing, and fostering a workplace culture that reflects empathy, clarity, and accountability - values we strive to embody every day. We wish you the very best in your next opportunity.

Pros

Good compensation and benefits for a small company

Cons

Majority of revenue is driven by deceiving customers that have forgotten to cancel their subscriptions, resulting in an unsustainable business model. Leadership is attempting to shift from consumer to B2B sales. However, company is struggling to gain a foothold in B2B. Leadership lacks clear direction, with founders in a constant power struggle over where to take company. Company is a revolving door, with employees being let go with no prior warning. All high performers have left the company.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad you found our compensation and benefits competitive. As you noted, despite our relatively small size, we strive to support our team members with compensation and benefit plans that are on par with, if not better, than those offered by the bigger companies with whom we often compete for talent. Transparency is central to our customer experience, and we work hard to ensure subscription terms are clear. Our addition of B2B solutions is also an exciting step for the company. We’re encouraged by the progress we’re making and looking forward to the opportunities ahead. Leadership alignment and employee experience continue to be priorities for us. While business changes and transitions can impact turnover, we’re proud of the dedicated team driving Spokeo’s mission forward and the fact that our average tenure across all of Spokeo is, as of the writing of this response, 5.4 years. We value input from all perspectives and are committed to continuous improvement. Thank you for contributing to the conversation.
