Pros

The only pros about this job are the free snacks and food

Cons

Management does not care about the well being of their employees They have literally told people who can’t make it into work because of either illness, family issues, or even car problems to take an Uber to work so they don’t miss out on attendance points. Grace period is ridiculous (2:59 min.) they teach you how to effectively lie and berate the customer do they don’t get their money back for an outdated service. Customers constantly angry and yelling at you because of charges that we’re put in their card even after cancelling or blocking through their bank. Toxic ghetto people work here, all the baby daddy problems galore.

Thank you for your feedback. Our Customer Care team values attendance adherence as it is one of the key components in keeping our daily service commitment to our customers. We encourage team members to reach out if there is an unexpected personal circumstance or their set schedules become difficult to maintain. We strive to work as a team to accommodate individual needs while maintaining a high standard of service for our customers. We’ll consider this feedback as we review our attendance policy and other processes.

Pros

Lot of flexibility, they encourage learning new things and implementing any new technology that can help the company. There are very few red tape blocks, and the culture is awesome. Free food of excellent quality, and understanding management.

Cons

Previously no work from home policy, however that has recently changed. So there aren't many cons.

Pros

- Snacks - Lunches - Company events - There's a few really good people that work here

Cons

- Your value to the company is determined on day 1 and you'll never get a chance to prove otherwise - Managers will place a carrot on a stick - You'll be promised promotions/raises many times but they'll never deliver on their promises - Managers are too prideful and stubborn to admit when they're wrong - HR is only there for the managers - Few projects have any direction - Entire teams get fired or quit quite often

We appreciate you posting a review and your love for the snacks, lunches, and events! Our Culture Team puts in a lot of thought and effort into caring for all Spokeans! Let me also share some of our latest HR initiatives here at Spokeo... This August Spokeo launched career ladders for the entire product organization. This was done to a) help facilitate conversations between managers and team members around one’s work, the setting of smart goals in Trakstar (our performance management tool), and overall expectations as well as b) provide transparency around one’s career trajectory. In another effort by HR, the team began meeting with all people managers to ensure that all Spokeans’ 2018 goals are captured in Trakstar. This is part of Spokeo’s twice-a-year performance review practices where all team members are evaluated and may be eligible for merit increases and promotions. This is to ensure that Spokeo continues to be competitive and that individuals are recognized for the results of their hard work. The Spokeo HR Team operates for everyone - people managers and all individual within the organization. This provides a wonderful alternative for those who wish to speak with someone else besides their manager. Thanks to our open-office floor plan here at Spokeo, to say that we have an “open-door” policy is an understatement!
